The Cultural Orientation Assistant provides refugees with basic cultural orientation (CO) and intensive cultural orientation (ICO) to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes refugees need to adjust and achieve successful integration. Immediate, ongoing and holistic cultural orientation is a key pillar of successful resettlement because of the link to refugees’ immediate self-sufficiency and long-term integration.
