Purpose

The Administrative Assistant provides operations and administrative support to the Manager/team. S/he coordinates and supports the work of the program and directly reports to the Program Manager.

 

CWS seeks a motivated, detail-oriented person with strong organizational skills and a team player. This position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive, and energetic style that complements the other team members and is guided by CWS's operational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the key initiatives of the local program team.
  • Manage special projects through communications, administration, and digital information management.
  • Organize and coordinate staff-wide training as needed.
  • Provide administrative support, such as logistics for meetings, events, and travel as needed.
  • Maintain shared calendars and organize team and cross-departmental meetings.
  • Research best practices and industry standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in administration.
  • Strong independent thinking skills with the ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimum supervision
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships within the organization and externally
  • Excellent administrative and customer service skills
  • Ability to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to draft correspondences and other communication with minimum direction
  • Professional maturity and strong decision-making skills
  • Forward-looking thinker who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Proficiency and experience administering Microsoft SharePoint sites 

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

 

 

Special Requirements

The job will require reference checks, standard criminal background checks, and motor vehicle background checks.
